Anthony Harper
Co-FOUNDER
Anthony Harper is a co-founder of Snakeworx Avoidance. Because of his love for both venomous snakes and dogs, Anthony is passionate about rattlesnake avoidance training. He takes every opportunity to talk with people that are apprehensive about rattlesnakes and educates them about their role and place in the ecosystem. Because of this, most owners leave more knowledgeable and much less fearful of rattlesnakes. Anthony’s experience, patience, calm nature, and knowledge of dog behavior make him an excellent dog trainer. As thousands of happy owners can attest to, their dogs are now safer because of Anthony.
Joel Almquist
Co-FOUNDER
Joel Almquist is a co-founder of Snakeworx Avoidance and considered an animal expert by those in the animal world. Joel grew up around animals as a result of Joel’s grandparents owning pet stores that sold exotic animals such as monkeys, wolves, and alligators. While in his teens, Joel bred and sold a wide variety of boas, pythons, and parrots, but always wanted to work with larger exotic animals. In his twenties, Joel started to work with different animal companies that trained animals for film and television. One such company was Randy Miller’s Predators in Action, where Joel worked with Grizzly and Black Bears, Tigers, Lions, Leopards and Cougars. Along with big cats and bears, Joel has always loved reptiles and during this time he handled and taught people about some of the world’s most dangerous which included Mambas, Cobras, Inland Taipans, Rattlesnakes, Vipers, Alligators, and Nile Crocodiles.
